In the eighteenth-century, a precious collection of porcelain would be presented in a specially designed room called “Porzellanzimmer”.
“Das Gelbe Zimmer” is an idea of a Porzellanzimmer taken one modern step further. This time, instead of the perfectly modelled eighteenth-century porcelain items, the room has been inhabited by TranForms Plus from the Bastards’ series. They are cross-breeds of unwanted or outdated styles and forms, kinds of mongrel cast from fragments of found plaster moulds which have been modified and joined to form completely new species. And, of course, they are yellow.
